Teatro SEA, the award-winning Latino theatre company for young audiences (CEO & Artistic Director, Dr. Manuel A. Morán), is celebrating its 30th Anniversary and proudly invites you to our exciting 2015-2016 SEAson, presenting the best in Latino/bilingual entertainment for the whole family. Join Teatro SEA in a wonderful season where children enter for FREE as part of our 30th Anniversary Celebration!

Don Chico con Alas & Los Duraznos Azules.
Presenting in collaboration with Great Small Works directly from Mexico and Berlin: Facto Teatro and Barbara Steinitz. One tells a tale of a man who decides he needs to fly. The other, a story about a boy who wants to find out why the peach tree in his grandmother’s garden is producing blue peaches. Performed in Spanish.
When: September 19 at Teatro SEA @ 3pm.

El Patico Feo
Teatro SEA and Pregones/PRTT proudly present performances by Teatro de las Estaciones, the internationally acclaimed puppet theater troupe based in Matanzas, Cuba. The passing of the seasons tells the story of a friend who is not like any other, and a story for all times is told among silhouettes, shadows, black light, masks and dance. Performed in Spanish.
When: September 26 at Teatro @3pm.

During the month of October, spooky tales come to life with the return of Skeletons!

Skeletons, a day of the Dead bed-time story.
A comedy about a boy, Jimmy, who is dealing with the loss of his best friend, his Grandfather. His parents try everything to help Jimmy cope, but nothing works, until the eve of Day of the Dead, when his Grandfather comes back to life for one night. Grandpa uses his storytelling skills, and his cast of zany characters teach Jimmy lessons to help him gain self-confidence.
When: October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 @ 3pm.
November 1st @ 3pm.

The Glory, A Latin Cabaret
A Heavenly Musical Celebration of Cuba’s La Sonora Matancera and it’s Stars, Myrta Silva, Daniel Santos and Celia Cruz!

A musical revue that honors the late legendary superstars of Latin Cabaret from the Caribbean. This show transports audiences to a heavenly realm where Myrta Silva and Daniel Santos are the stars of a nightclub emceed by Archangel Camacho. One night Celia Cruz arrives and wants to share the stage with them, which kick-starts this humorous drama. However, it turns into a memorable night as they sing their greatest hits! A live orchestra, singers, puppets and a little celestial magic, make this show a hit in heaven.

A collaboration with CUBA’s Teatro de las Estaciones, Written by Norge Espinosa Production Design (Sets, Costumes and Puppets) by Zenén Calero Artistic Consultant Rubén Darío Salazar

When: World Premiere Friday, November 13th, 2015 @ 8:00pm. November 13th thru December 6th, 2015.

Sueño de una noche de Verano en Puerto Rico

Sueño
During the month of December Teatro SEA will be presenting its acclaimed production: Sueño, as part of the Festival Internacional de Teatro 2015 presented by el Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña @ El Morro, Puerto Rico.

When: December 11, 12 and 13 @8pm.

Tales from Mexico, Guatemala, Peru and Puerto Rico!
The Legends of the Enchanted Treasure/Las leyendas del Cofre Encantado.
Four children discover an old enchanted chest full of magical tales from the indigenous people of the Americas. Their adventures transport them to Mexico, Guatemala, Peru and Puerto Rico where they learn lessons of courage, faith, heritage and love.

When: January 9, 16, 23, and 30 @ 3pm.
February 6 @3pm.
Celebrate Romance and Love on Valentine’s Day Weekend with Rafael Hernández

Rafael Hernández…ROMANCE
The revival of one of Teatro SEA’s greatest hits! A Romantic Musical Revue about the life, career and music of one of the greatest Latin American composers of all time, Rafael Hernández.

When: February 13 @ 8pm. February 14 @ 4pm.

Martina the Little Roach/La Cucarachita Martina
A Latin rock-n-roll musical based on a popular Cuban and Puerto Rican children’s tale of a little roach who learns many lessons on her journey to find true love.

When: February 20 and 27 @ 3pm.
March 5, 12, and 19 @ 3pm.

Little Red Riding Hood/La Caperucita Roja
This musical play tells the classic fable, but with a comical twist. Little Red and the wolf trade places, which leads audiences on a journey full of surprises!

When: March 26 @ 3pm.
April 2, 9, 16, and 23 @3pm.
5 TIME Award Winner Production- thought provoking Theater.

¡Viva Pinocho! A Mexican Pinocchio!
The heart-warming retelling of the classic folktale by a young Mexican immigrant (Pinocchio) on his journey to understanding himself, his heritage, and embracing a new country.

When: April 30 @ 3pm.
May 7 and 21 @ 3pm.
Celebrate Mother’s Day with Romantic Boleros

A 3 VOCES
A musical revue of some of the most romantic songs from Latin America’s greatest “TRIOS.” The romantic music of such trios as Los Panchos and Los Condes, takes audiences on a nostalgic and charming love story, through such songs as “El Almanaque,” “Obsesión,” “Querube,” “Perdón” and “Piel Canela.” Performed in Spanish but understood by everyone who has ever loved!

When: May 14 @ 8pm. May 15 @ 4pm

FREE OUTDOOR THEATER in La Plaza @ THE CLEMENTE

The King Who Refused to Love “The Toothache of King Farfán”/ La Muela del Rey Farfán
This “Zarzuela,” Spanish operetta for children, tells the story of the lessons learned by a stubborn King who refused to love and respect others. Over 40 puppets, singers, and musicians bring to life this timeless story from the early 1900’s.

When: June 10 thru June 26.
Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays @ 8pm.\
COMPLETELY FREE!

Children: FREE (Up 2 children enter for free per adult. Each additional Child’s ticket is $10). Adults $20.
